Sales Support Associate

You, as a Sales Support Associate, will assist the sales representatives to handle order-related customer requests. Your primary goal is to ensure customer’s order information are received recorded and accurate. You will also serve the customers by responding to inquiries, confirming order information, and providing customer with updates on order status or tracking information. In addition, you will collect customer feedbacks on the product features.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as liaison between the customer, sales representatives and the fulfillment team, ensure the order information is complete, and provided assistance to the sales development representatives. Collaborate with internal teams such as operation, finance, product within a fast-paced environment.
  • Support sales representatives to provide price quotations, availability of goods, and delivery lead time estimates.
  • Document interactions with customers, requests and actions in company’s customer relationship management (CRM) software. Allocate actions to collaborating teams to ensure customer requests are met in a timely fashion.
  • Collect customer feedbacks on Turing products and services, identify trends in customer interest and demand, and provide key insights to product team to drive evolution of company’s product portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Previous experience in customer-facing roles such as sales, customer service, or customer success.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver with attention to details; can simultaneously handle multiple tasks with competing priorities. self-motivated, and result oriented.
  • Possess excellent inter-personal skills; is an active listener with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus

Automating processes and functions, improving productivity and operational efficiency while assuring greater awareness and safety of facilities are hallmarks of Turing’s solutions.

Turing is currently seeking a highly motivated legal professional to serve as In-House Counsel. This position, based in San Mateo, offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a legal function to support the evolving needs of the business and leading tactical legal initiatives by providing a strategic, long-term value proposition focused on smart growth and risk management. Specifically, this position will provide legal advice and counsel for all areas of the business including commercial agreements, IP, logistics, international compliance, and litigation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing advice and counsel to all levels of management on the business environment, challenges, and corporate objectives
  • Take an active effort in developing strategies, systems, and processes that will minimize the sources and degree of risk faced by the company on a daily basis while maintaining business objectives.
  • Reviewing, participating in the development of or providing input on strategic plans, execution plans, risk policy and risk tolerance, annual budgets and business plans
  • Address pertinent issues relevant to business and product initiatives including:
  • Intellectual property protection
  • Product compliance and safety requirements
  • Privacy and data protection
  • International codes and regulations
  • International corporate structures and business practices
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to define a strategies and contingencies on legal actions taken against or filed on behalf of the company.
  • Review, draft, negotiate, and execute business agreements, contracts, licenses, and other legal agreements with partners and investors.
  • Manage prosecution of patent applications with counsel, and identify relevant strategies for international filings on a case-by-case basis.
  • Manage trademark registrations and strategies to assure efficient use of resources and adequate protection of company marks worldwide.
  • Collaborate with international planning team, operations team and overseas subsidiaries to assure that market expansion reflect best industry practices and that Turing’s products and processes remain compliant with applicable laws and regulations both domestically and internationally.
  • Advise on legal aspects of the company’s financing, including assessing and advising on current and future business structures and legal entities.
  • Determine the optimal balance between an internal team and external counsel, and staff appropriately. Oversee the selection, retention, management and evaluation of outside counsel.
  • Setting performance objectives for the Legal team and collaborating with peer teams with respect to their objectives as they relate to legal or regulatory considerations (e.g., compliance)
  • Monitoring implementation and corporate performance
  • Approving and providing, as needed, oversight in major capital expenditures, acquisitions and divestitures
  • Implementing executive succession planning

The successful candidate must understand consumer hardware and software businesses, international supply chains and sales channels, understand issues surrounding data privacy/protection, IP protection and must be able to provide strategic alternatives and ideas on both legal issues and business issues affected by legal considerations.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive legal experience working in corporate law with 5+ years working in-house. Past experience working with consumer technology companies a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law.
  • Highly motivated with excellent business judgment and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in an environment of simultaneously competing demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies.
  • Good analytics and reasoning skills as well as the ability to draft and communicate complex legal solutions.

Position Overview and Scope

Accounting Manager will provide leadership and management for the company’s accounting, reporting and transaction processing activity. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the accounting manager will work closely with peer managers in the FP&A and Sales Operations. The position requires a mix of strong accounting and process knowledge along with significant business understanding. Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.

Duties and Responsibilities

Accounting and Auditing

  • Oversee accounting department operations, G/L, A/P, A/R, Credit & Collections, Tax (income, sales, property, etc.), and Cash Management.
  • Direct the general ledger month-end close process and preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements, including revenue booking and reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
  • Deliver fully reviewed financial statements to the management on a timely monthly basis.
  • Prepare quarterly sales commission schedule.
  • Work closely with FP&A and Sales Operations functions to analyze and explain variances.
  • Plan and execute semi-annual and yearend inventory count. Review count results and identify the reasons for the discrepancies.
  • Manage annual external audit and quarterly review process.
  • Assist annual internal audit.

Internal Control

  • Develop and implement processes and procedures that balance internal control with customer-friendly efficiency.
  • Implement, manage and comply with internal control requirements. Pursue and implement best practices for planning, executing, reporting, and analyzing business performance.
  • Develop best practice processes to constantly improve effectiveness and efficiency of controls.
  • Ensure compliance with all company financial policies and procedures.

Management

  • Provide leadership to Company’s senior management team by helping support the business proactively, including establishing an inclusive process for regularly updating the company’s budget/forecast to keep an accurate forecast of the business’ financial performance, providing timely financial reporting allowing management to control their spending timely to achieve agreed upon spending goals set, and proactively supporting management with analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Develop and manage a reporting mechanism for key performance indicators (financial and non-financial).
  • Conduct operational reviews to ensure effective and efficient spending. Make necessary recommendations for improvements and efficiencies.
  • Establish strong relationships with inter-departmental peers and be the “go to” accounting source in the Company.
  • Portray a positive image, developing trust and synergy throughout the regional office and affiliated companies.

Tax Compliances

  • Manage annual, or quarterly, or monthly filings for corporate income tax, sales tax, property tax and affected relevant state and local taxes.
  • Assist with annual transfer pricing study.

Essential Skills and Experience Requirements

  • Preference will be towards demonstrated experience having worked within fast growing SaaS companies.
  • Proven leadership experience in directing the finance and accounting.
  • 3+ years of accounting manager experience in a company with revenues more than $100 million
  • Track record of supporting senior management with business decision making needs.
  • Explicit knowledge of accounting controls and proven success in implementation of compliance programs.
  • Solid understanding of general accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with an organization experiencing growth and accounting systems conversions.
  • Public accounting experiences with a top tier firm a plus.
  • Proven track record and relationships working with banks, auditors, and various financial and tax advisory firms.
  • Technically astute; hands-on leader possessing strong business skills.
  • Strong analytical skills that include business decision making analysis.
  • Bilingual- English/Mandarin Chinese preferred as our affiliated companies are in China.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to interface with all internal departments and all levels of employees.
